*Sorry for the back and forth on the timing. With the teachers’ union and district reaching a tentative agreement, and the SEA membership having its vote next Saturday, Tuesday afternoon is now open for the 1st-5th grade Back to Bryant event at its original time, with Kindergarten classes open on Friday.

New this year… Ease back into the school year with a visit the day before classes start! Check out your new classroom, establish a nickname with your new teacher, and find the best spots in your new homeroom at this is a casual re-entry to the year. No need to bring anything other than yourself.
 
When you’ve had enough classroom time, come join everyone out on the school yard for some lemonade with lavender or rosemary from the garden, and photo booth fun until you’re ready to go home and get prepared for the big day.

SPS Volunteer Requirements 2018-2019

Bryant parent volunteers who have direct contact with students such as classroom volunteers, field trip chaperones, volunteers providing support on the Playground and in the Lunchroom; volunteers providing support in the Computer Lab, Library, Running Club, Math Champs, Chess Club, Art Docents, Room Parents, Writer’s Celebration, Field Day, Bryant Blast, Drama and other activities need to complete the following requirements:

  1. Review the on-line Volunteer Handbook
  2. Review the Volunteer Policy #5630
  3. Complete the on-line Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention course (one time)  **(17 minutes) Please forward the SPS confirmation email to ampatterson@seattleschools.org
  4. Seattle Public Schools Online Volunteer Application New this year, you can fill out your application online, and submit it for multiple different schools at the same time. Non-English speakers can have the form Google-translated online. You will need a digital copy/photo of your valid government issued ID and confirmation of completion of the Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention course (see item #3). If you prefer, you may provide a paper copy of your valid photo ID to the Bryant office
