Bike Month is here!

May is Bike to School Month, and Bike to Bryant is ready to celebrate with fun events for all. Save these dates:

  • Friday, April 29 Bike Month Kickoff, on the playground after school: Come get your bike tuned up for free, decorate your bike, play games, and sign up to participate in bike month.
  • All month! Students who ride every school day in May will get a prize; the class with the most trips wins the coveted and shiny crank-arm trophy; and, this year PE teacher Ms. Loftin has issued another CLOSE SHAVE CHALLENGE: if Bryant students bike 1000 trips total or more, she will shave her head. Crazy!
  • Wednesday, May 4 Bike to School Day. Meet at Top Pot at 8:30 in the morning, enjoy some donuts and coffee, then ride to school together. This is a parent-escorted event.
  • Friday, May 27 Obstacles and Popsicles, on the playground after school: Test your skills on a bicycle obstacle course, and then relax with a popsicle.
  • Bike Fairy Friday Every Friday in May the Bryant Bike Fairy and her entourage will be riding the streets seeking kids on bikes. If you are “caught” riding, you will earn praise and prizes!
