Bike to School Month has wrapped up, and Bryant students impressed us as usual! In May 90 kids logged their bike trips which amounted to 962 total! Way to go!
Though this did not reach the 1000 trips needed for the Close Shave challenge (Ms. Loftin gets to keep her hair for the summer), there were plenty of other notable stats:
30 kids rode their bike every day in May – a new Bryant record!
Average trips per day was 50.6 – also a new record!
Ms. Kereluck’s class came in first place for the most trips – the first time a kindergarten class has won. Congratulations!
Thanks to everyone who came out and participated in our Bike Month events. And thanks to the Seattle Department of Transportation for funding through a Safe Routes to School grant. We’ll see everyone in the fall with Walk to School month events in October.
