WELCOME TO BRYANT​
​
Bryant Elementary has been part of this community for over a century. The school opened in 1918, and families formalized their support when the Bryant PTSA was incorporated in 1982. More than a hundred years of students later, the same idea still drives us: when families, teachers, and staff work together, every child does better.

WHERE WE FIT
​
The Bryant PTSA is a local unit of a much larger network, connected through the Seattle Council PTSA, the Washington State PTA, and the National PTA. It means the work we do here is backed by one of the oldest and largest child-advocacy organizations in the country.

OUR BOARD​
​
The PTSA is led by a Board of Directors selected each spring to serve for the following school year. Any member can be nominated for a Board position. HOW WE'RE FUNDED
Our budget comes primarily from the Annual Campaign, with additional support from special events like the online auction. You can learn more on our Fundraising page.
OUR COMMITTEES​
Much of the PTSA's work happens through our committees, where volunteers lead the programs and events that make Bryant thrive. Our standing committees include Arts, Bryant Blast, Budget, Family & Community Support, Financial Review, Fundraising, Online Auction, and Yearbook. Interested in joining one? ADVOCACY
Speaking up on behalf of children is core to what we do. The PTSA has both the responsibility and the reach to advocate for the well-being of every student at Bryant, and to connect our community with the wider work of the state and national PTA.
COME TO A MEETING
​
Our monthly meetings are open to everyone. Check the schedule on our Meetings & Minutes page or see what's coming up on the calendar, and watch for invitations in the Weekly. You'll hear routine board business, a financial update from the Treasurers, news from the Principals and Building Leadership Team, committee updates, and new proposals such as funding decisions, plus chances to advocate for our community. Our General Membership meetings, held three times a year, include the big annual milestones: Standing Rules in October, and the budget, Executive Committee elections, and volunteer and staff recognition in June.
