WHAT IS A ROOM PARENT?
Room parents are the connective tissue of a Bryant classroom. They're the main link between the PTSA, teachers, and families, helping build the community and communication that make a classroom feel like home. If you enjoy bringing people together, it's one of the most rewarding ways to be involved.
WHAT ROOM PARENTS DO
Every classroom is a little different, but room parents generally help to:

Create a class directory for families

Keep families informed on school and PTSA events

Organize teacher gifts and support for Teacher Appreciation Week

Help co-plan grade-level events

Optionally lend a hand with classroom parties and playdates
You don't have to do it all. Many room parents share the role, and how much you take on is up to you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The commitment is flexible and spread across the year, with busier moments around events and appreciation weeks. Your teacher will be your partner throughout, and the PTSA is here to support you. Most of the work is communication and coordination, no special skills required, just a willingness to connect.
