  1. Blast Leadership positions Leeann Huntington & Meghan Delaney
    The Blast on May 9th will be themed “Bite of Bryant”. The search continues for someone to act as Project Manager for the Blast. All committee head positions have been filled. The PTSA Board is committed to making sure the Blast goes forward this Spring. A Planning Meeting will be scheduled for the last week of January.
  1. Tech Coordinator hiring update Dan Sanger
    The posting for the job has been posted to the Seattle Public Schools website. Dan anticipates hiring someone by the end of next week.

New Business

  1. Sumac Patricia Parker
    Patricia recommends downsizing Sumac database from Gold to Silver, giving Bryant a credit of $1,295.

Nature in Our Neighborhood

Join us as we explore the plants, animals, and nature in our neighborhood and local parks.  Activities will include games, experiments, field trips and lots of fun!

Piano Keyboarding

Music Lessons on Wheels
Instructors: Brian Nagurny and Abby Kitchen
Grade range: K-5
Time: Monday – Wednesdays, Fridays, by appointment

Whether engaged in traditionally formatted private lessons or our beginner’s twinned lessons format (designed to teach 2 children at a time, each with his or her own instrument), our approach delivers action-packed lessons that will introduce key concepts and develop the musician in your child. Sewing – Machine

Instructor: Little Hands Creations, Maile Jones, Tessa Breedlove, Cecil Sefaros
Grade range: 1st-5th
Time: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 3:45 – 5:15

Once a week, students are invited to learn a skill they will use for a lifetime… sewing! No experience necessary for boys and girls to learn the basics and beyond. Beginning students will learn machine safety and beginner sewing techniques, while the more experienced students can expand on skills they already have. Student will advance at their own pace to more exciting and challenging projects throughout the session. Projects, which are constantly rotating during the quarter, include slippers and phone cases, clothing, accessories, bags, games, stuffed animal and more! Spanish

Instructor: Teresa Torres
Grade: K-5th
Time: Monday and/or Tuesday, 3:45-4:45
Location: Mondays, Rm. 104, Tuesdays, Rm. 102

In this safe, healthy and FUN learning environment, children will learn Spanish through fun, hands-on activities, such as: cultural from Latin America songs, dances, board games, reading books and much more. Lessons and activities are planned according to month, season, relevant events, environment and children’s input and own interest. Children develop their Interpretation skills by interpreting from Spanish to English and vice-versa.

SPRING SESSION:
Monday (only) April 18 – June 20th (9 lessons)
Tuesday (only) April 19 – June 21st (10 lessons)
Monday and Tuesday (twice a week) April 1 – June 21st (19 lessons)

Sports Spectacular (Variety Sports)

Instructor: Overtime Athletics
Grade Range: 1st–5th
Time: Monday 3:45-5:00
Location: Playcourt

Let’s Play! Save the best for last by finishing up the school day with Sports Spectacular, a variety athletic program that features different sports throughout the session. Participants will practice skills and play games in both traditional sports and playground favorites. The Sports Spectacular Variety Program features the best “to-do” list ever – Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Wiffle Ball, Bump and Bite, Knights and Dragons, Numbers Game, Tag Games, Safe Base and MORE! OTA covers all the bases with our emphasis on playing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Don’t miss out on the FUN!
